About the Course

Design Assumptions

This course design was based on a number of assumptions:

The model employs widely-accepted standards of distributed learning design.
The course follows a self-study approach.
Reflective exercises have a practical, work-related focus and employ case study methodology.
Learners are expected to try out/model/ train with/ implement the ideas, concepts and methods learned in the course.
Experienced facilitators can deliver or build on these learning modules in a face-to-face setting, via teleconferencing or other synchronous format.
The modules have been designed in such a way that the course will be easily transformed into a ‘for-credit’ course, where learner-to-learner and learner-to-instructor interaction can take place.
